Calgary police are turning to the public for help in identifying a man found dead near the Bow River in March.

Calgary police are turning to the public for help in identifying a man found dead near the Bow River in March.

Investigators believe the man’s death is non-criminal, however a composite sketch is being released in hopes of generating information that may lead to his identification and the notification of his next of kin.

According to police, the man’s body was found by a passerby just after 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 5, on the riverbank near the area of Memorial Drive NW and 10 Street NW.

Following an autopsy on March 7, the death was deemed to not be suspicious.

The man is believed to have been 55 to 70 years old at the time of his death, was six feet tall, about 230 pounds with blonde or grey hair, blue eyes, and some facial hair.

Police say he was also wearing a pair of brown hiking boots with orange and black soles when he was found.
