Another new music tent is coming to this year’s Calgary Stampede

By CityNews Staff

A new Calgary Stampede music festival tent is gearing up for its first rodeo this summer.

The Burwood Music Festival tent will be going up in Currie, near Mount Royal University in the city’s southwest.

A few of the headliners have already been announced, including Gary Levox from Rascal Flatts, DJ Hurricane from Beastie Boys, and Buckcherry.

Several other performers are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

The tent has a 3,000 person capacity and will be running from July 4-14 during The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth.

According to the festival’s website, some of the money made at the tent will go to support a local organization.

It says $1 from every Burwood Distillery Pineapple Lemon Cooler sale will be donated to #NotInMyCity, a group founded by Canadian country singer Paul Brandt aimed at fighting human trafficking and sexual exploitation.

The full lineup and ticket information can be found here.
