54-40 singer looks back at career ahead of Calgary Stampede stop

54-40 was just one of a number of Canadian rock bands that gained notoriety in the 90s, a wave that included The Tragically Hip and Spirit of the West.

The band owes its roots to the Vancouver-area punk scene in the late 70s and has produced a number of mainstream hits through the 80s, 90s and beyond including ‘I Go Blind,’ ‘Baby Ran,’ ‘She La,’ and ‘Ocean Pearl.’

CityNews660’s Todd Kaufman caught up with lead singer Neil Osborne prior to their stop at National Saloon on Friday, July 5 during the Calgary Stampede.
