Calgary police are looking for the victim and suspects in an assault reported by a downtown security guard last month.
Investigators say around 12:40 a.m. on Sunday, June 2, a security guard called police to report a group of people had surrounded a man and hit him with objects that he believed were chains and bats in the middle of Macleod Trail SE between 7 Avenue and 6 Avenue SE.
The group left the scene before police got there, and the victim made his way to the platform at City Hall Station.
Police say the victim hasn’t come forward to police since the incident.
One suspect was found by police in the area. They were arrested and later released pending further investigation.
Since then, police have looked at hours of CCTV footage in hopes of finding and identifying the victims, as well as those who were involved in the assault.
