Calgary Transit reopens Sunnyside Station following suspicious package investigation

Commuters who rely on the Red Line to get where they need to go were left stranded Wednesday morning, after Calgary Transit shut down a portion of the train line due to a suspicious package.

In a post to social media just before 7:30 a.m., Calgary Transit said Sunnyside Station had been closed.

Calgary police confirm to CityNews officers investigated a suspicious package found at the station around 6:45 a.m.
Shuttles were organized between Lions Park Station and 7 Street Station to pick up riders.

The station re-opened at 9:30 a.m.
