Police investigating ‘sudden death’ of woman in Kananaskis

Mounties west of Calgary are investigating the “sudden death” of a woman in Kananaskis earlier this month.

Cochrane RCMP say officers were called to Barrier Lake off of Highway 40 around 3:30 p.m. on July 13.

Emergency crews tried to help a 52-year-old woman who was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators are still trying to determine a cause of death.

Police are asking for any video or dashcam footage from people who were in the area that day and “may have captured the events leading up to the incident or after.”
