Police are looking for answers after shots were fired in Calgary’s Beltline neighbourhood Tuesday night.

Around 9:30 p.m., police started to receive calls about several shots being fired along 14 Avenue and 14 Street SW.

The investigation took an unexpected turn when officers got to the scene and found shell casings on the ground, but no damage to any nearby buildings.

No one has come forward to report any injuries at this time, police say.

Investigators tell CityNews the next step is to look at security camera footage on Wednesday to get a better understanding on what may have happened.
