RCMP investigating small plane crash in northern Alberta

RCMP are investigating a small plane crash that happened at an airport in northern Alberta on Tuesday.

Mounties in Peace River and Grimshaw responded to the incident at the Peace River Airport around 4:50 p.m.

It is believed there were two people on board the plane when it crashed.

Transport Canada has been advised, and police are advising everyone to avoid the area during the investigation.

Peace River is located roughly 480 km northwest of Edmonton.
