Man shot and killed in targeted incident in NE Calgary: police

Calgary police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened in the city's northeast Friday night.

Calgary police are looking into a reportedly targeted shooting that left one man dead Friday in the city’s northeast.

Just before 7:30 p.m., police were called to a residence near 84 Street and Homestead Boulevard for reports of a man being shot.

When police got there, they said the victim was found dead while the suspects fled the scene.

The investigation is still in its early stages but they believe it was a targeted incident.

An autopsy is in the process of being scheduled.
