A man in his 40s was seriously injured after falling several feet off a roof and onto a fence at a northwest Calgary worksite Wednesday morning.
Calgary Fire Department public information officer Carol Henke says crews were dispatched to a house on Evanscrest Road NW just before 9 a.m. for reports a roofer had fallen about 25 feet off a roof and landed on a fence.
Paramedics took the man, who Henke says was conscious and breathing, to hospital with significant injuries.
Calgary Police and Occupational Health and Safety also responded to the scene.
