Calgary police investigating alleged road rage shooting that saw family followed home by suspects

Police are investigating an alleged shooting in northeast Calgary earlier this month that stemmed from a road rage incident where a family was followed home.

Officers were called to a home in the community of Cityscape Drive NE around 8:25 p.m. on Nov. 6 for reports of a shooting.

Investigators say there was a road rage incident a short time earlier near Metis Trail and 80 Avenue NE. Following the incident a white Dodge Ram with two men inside followed a man and his family to their home.

When the family arrived at their residence, the suspects pulled up beside them in the Dodge and allegedly pulled out a gun before firing six shots into the air.

Police are now asking for residents with security or dashcam footage of the area around the time of the shooting to contact them.

Anyone with information or footage between 8 to 9 p.m. in the areas of northbound Metis Trail between 80 Avenue and 104 Avenue NE, and the 10000 block of Cityscape Drive NE, are being urged to call police at 403-266-1234.
