Former Stampeder Alex Singleton nominated for prestigious award

A former Calgary Stampeder is up for a prestigious award in the NFL.

Alex Singleton has been nominated for the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award, which recognizes players who excel on the field and demonstrate a steadfast commitment to creating a positive impact beyond the game.

Since joining the Denver Broncos, the linebacker works with the Special Olympics Winter Games, supports the Inclusion Revolution, hosts free football clinics, and visits schools.

The winner will be announced in early February.

Singleton, a 2018 Grey Cup winner with the Stamps, keeps his Calgary connections close, and often takes to social media to support his former club.
