A B.C. resident was arrested by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) at the Calgary airport after officers allegedly found drugs in his luggage.

The CBSA officers came across luggage headed to the United Kingdom on Nov. 17 and found 12 kilograms of pressed cocaine and a tracking device.

The apparent owner, 29-year-old Justin Harry Carl Beck of Port Coquitlam, was arrested before his flight to Heathrow Airport.

Calgary police, RCMP, and the Integrated Border Enforcement Team in Alberta investigated and charged Beck with the exportation of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.

He is expected to appear in court in Calgary on May 6, 2025.
