Alleged assault near NW pub sends 1 to hospital: Calgary police

Around 3:45 AM a patrol member found a man with a head injury walking southbound on Fourth Street N.W, near 26th Avenue N.W.

Calgary police say a man suffering from a head injury was taken to hospital, believing it was sustained from an alleged assault near a pub in the northwest early Friday.

They say the man was found walking south on 4 Street near 26 Avenue NW at around 3:45 a.m.

Officers believe the man had been assaulted and injured his head in a fight earlier near the Cat and Fiddle Pub on 16 Avenue and 5 Street NW, which is about 15 minutes away from where he was found.

He was taken to hospital in stable condition.

The investigation remains ongoing.
