Warm up on the way for Calgary after cold start to 2025

Calgary saw a chilly start to the new year, but warmer temperatures are on the way.
“Calgary’s high for this time of year is -2 C, our average high or 2025 so far is -13 C,” explained 660 NewsRadio meteorologist Kevin Stanfield. “But, there is a ridge of high pressure on the way, and starting tomorrow, we can expect our temperatures to bounce back into the positive highs.”
Tuesday is forecasted to be the first of several days with positive temperatures in the city.
Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) says Calgarians can expect a high of 6 C and a low of 4 C for the day.
Wednesday will also be warm, with a forecasted high of 5 C.
Temperatures will dip on Thursday with a high of 1 C before warming up for the weekend; Friday could see rain and a high of 6 C, Saturday, a high of 4 C, and Sunday, a high of 3 C.
