Dubbed “The Queen of Scream,” Canada’s own Darby Mills has been rocking out since the late 70s and spent 36 years as the lead singer of the Headpins.
Mills also released a solo album ‘Never Look Back,’ backed by the Unsung Heroes in 1991.
After being let go by the Headpins in 1985, she returned to the band a few times but then left for good in 2016 and formed The Darby Mills Project.
Mills says she has “spent the past 17 months editing this live documentary, a two-act performance packed with 21 songs and a lifetime of stories… every song accompanied by custom made video in sync with her most awesome band as they play in tandem.”
660 NewsRadio’s Todd Kaufman caught up with Mills prior to the debut show in Vernon, B.C. on March 22.
