Calgary police are looking for dashcam footage of a collision near a southwest school that sent a young boy to hospital earlier this week.
Around 4 p.m. on Wednesday, a nine-year-old boy was crossing Millrise Drive SW in a marked crosswalk when he was hit by a 2014 Hyundai Sante Fe.
The vehicle, driven by a woman in her 40s, was travelling eastbound on Millrise Drive SW.
The boy was taken to hospital with serious, non-life threatening injuries.
Police say the driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and wasn’t injured.
Alcohol, distraction, and excessive speed aren’t considered factors in the collision.
The incident is still under investigation, and police are hoping video footage from the area can help them determine what happened.
Anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage of the area is asked to contact police at 403-266-1234 or tip anonymously through CrimeStoppers.
