    Investigators say it happened just after 7 a.m. in the area of 76 Avenue SE and Ogden Road SE.

    Reports indicate a mother and child were hit by a vehicle.

    They were left with minor injuries.

    Police say the vehicle, described by witnesses as a dark-coloured truck, left the scene.

    Witnesses also told investigators there was a passenger in the truck at the time of the incident.

    There were traffic delays in the area as paramedics provided care to the pedestrians.

    Calgary police say the investigation into the matter is ongoing, and anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact police.
