The last of nine striking education worker groups has voted to accept a settlement, bringing an end to CUPE Alberta’s largest strike, according to the union Friday.

CUPE says local 5040 members in the Foothills School Division approved the deal with 68 per cent support and will return to work Monday.

Support staff from Calgary’s two largest school boards voted in favour of new deals this week and will also be back on the job next week.

The specific details of the deals have not been made public, but the union says they include pay increases and are valid through August 2028.
