A familiar face — and voice — is set to kick off the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth.

Canadian country superstar Shania Twain will lead the Calgary Stampede Parade on Friday, July 4.

“The city of Calgary and the province of Alberta have always held a very special place in my heart,” she said. “The Calgary Stampede is an amazing celebration of Western heritage and culture and embodies the true spirit of Calgarians and Canadians. I look forward to being part of it again, not only playing at the Saddledome on the first Saturday of Stampede, but also on horseback riding through the streets of downtown Calgary.”

Twain will perform at the Scotiabank Saddledome on Saturday, July 5 as part of the Stampede Concert Series.

The announcement of the 2025 parade marshal came from the festival Wednesday, which also marks 100 days until the event begins.

Twain has released six albums over the course of her career and is a five-time Grammy winner.

More recently, she became a judge on Canada’s Got Talent.

The Calgary Stampede Parade begins at 9 a.m. on July 4, with the prelude beginning at 7:30 a.m.

Immediately following the parade, guests can head to Stampede Park to receive free admission from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
