Sunday is the last day for SUPERTRAIN, Canada’s largest model train show, and it’s back and bigger than ever at Calgary’s Olympic Oval.
Families and train fans can flock to the facility until 5 p.m.
There, guests can tour over 75,000 square feet of model railroad layouts and watch the tiny trains navigate mini-towns and landscapes.
This year’s show, presented by the Calgary Model Railway Society, has 106 exhibits from all over North America.
The first SUPERTRAIN event was held in 1995 at Mewata Armouries; however, as the years went by, it moved to the Big Four Building and eventually the Olympic Oval due to increasing visitors and exhibitors.
Additionally, organizers say collection boxes are available for non-perishable foods to support the Calgary Food Bank.
Tickets are $17 for adults, $5 for children between the ages of seven and 16, and free for children under six.
More information can be found on the SUPERTRAIN website.
