Calgary’s 4th Avenue Flyover reopens after crash

There were some major delays for drivers trying to get into downtown Calgary late Wednesday due to a crash that shut down the 4th Avenue Flyover.

The 660 NewsRadio newsroom started receiving calls about the flyover off of westbound Memorial Drive NE being closed around 5:45 p.m.

City of Calgary traffic cameras showed two vehicles and a police cruiser on the ramp with barricades redirecting traffic back onto Memorial.

The closure caused major delays for two hours with westbound traffic on Memorial backed up to Deerfoot Trail. The flyover reopened shortly before 8 p.m.
