Calgary Stampede canvas auction to take over Big Four Roadhouse

Companies and organizations will descend on the Big Four Roadhouse Thursday evening for the Calgary Stampede canvas auction.

Often seen as a barometer for Alberta’s oil and gas industry, bidders will compete to advertise on the chuckwagons of the 2025 Rangeland Derby competitors.

The Calgary Stampede says this year there are 27 drivers to choose from.

Last year saw an uptick in advertising commitments after significant decreases in contribution post-pandemic.

The 2024 auction saw $3.1 million committed by donors.

This year’s Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth kicks off on Friday, July 4 and runs until Sunday, July 13.
