Calgary Fire Department says that a home in the Lynwood area in the city's SE sustained significant damage after a fire Saturday at around 12:30 am.

Calgary firefighters were met with large amounts of smoke and flames at the back of a single-storey southeast Lynnwood home early Saturday.

The fire–with the call received by the Calgary Fire Department (CFD) at around 12:35 a.m.–happened at a home on the 100 block of Lynnwood Crescent SE.

The CFD says the second alarm blaze spread quickly from a large deck to the rear of the home, a detached garage, and a large tree.
