Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre made a late campaign stop in Calgary on Friday for a rally just days before the federal election.
During the stop at a hangar at the Calgary International Airport, Poilievre discussed his platform among supporters, vowing to improve affordability, reform criminal justice and increase employment.
“We are going to keep parliament open all summer long to pass three laws to bring change,” said Poilievre, citing the “affordability for a change act,” the “safety for a change act,” and the “bring home our jobs for a change act.”
“We want all of these things passed within 100 days. I’m cancelling the summer vacation on Parliament Hill until all these bills are passed.”
Poilievre introduced some local area candidates before ending the whistle stop campaign event and heading off for another rally on Vancouver Island.

The conservative leader began his day with a press conference in Saskatoon, where he again pledged to pass an affordability law and a “massive omnibus crime bill” within the first 100 days if he becomes prime minister.
He also said he would call U.S. President Donald Trump on Day 1 to tell him tariffs are destructive, and seek to begin renegotiating North America’s free trade deal right away.
Poilievre made his pitstop in Calgary while en route to Nanoose Bay, B.C., and metro Vancouver before he ends the campaign in his Ottawa riding Sunday.
Recent polls suggest that ridings in both Saskatoon and the Nanaimo area, which includes Nanoose Bay, are leaning Conservative. Conservative are widely expected to dominate most ridings in Alberta, but pollsters believe small red waves are possible in Calgary and Edmonton.
Canadians head to the polls on Monday. Polls in Alberta are open from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m
