Woman critically hurt after head-on crash near Diamond Valley involving suspected impaired driver

Police believe alcohol was a factor in a crash southwest of Calgary that left a woman in critical condition.

Emergency crews were called to Highway 7 just east of Diamond Valley around 9 p.m. Sunday for reports of a two-vehicle collision.

Turner Valley RCMP say a Dodge truck driven by a 39-year-old man was trying to pass another vehicle when it crashed head-on in to a Dodge truck driven by a 37-year-old woman.
