Police suspect arson in NW Calgary house fire

Calgary police are investigating a suspicious fire that broke out late Tuesday morning in the city’s northwest.

Police are investigating after a fire broke out at a home in northwest Calgary on Tuesday morning.

Emergency crews were called to a home in the community of Scenic Acres near Nose Hill Drive and Scenic Acres Boulevard NW around 11:35 a.m.

Calgary police say its arson unit is on scene and the fire is “believed to be suspicious.”

No injuries have been reported.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is being urged to contact Calgary Police Service (CPS).
