NE Calgary intersection reopens following vehicle incident

A crash shut down a busy intersection in northeast Calgary Wednesday morning, sending one person to the hospital.

A northeast Calgary intersection was briefly closed Wednesday morning following a vehicle incident.

Police say it happened around 8:20 a.m. at the intersection of Freeport Drive NE and Country Hills Boulevard NE.

One person was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to EMS.

Stonehill Drive NE was closed north of the intersection for a little more than an hour.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
