History gets a remix — and the queens are in charge. In fact, there’s not a man in the cast.
The Tony Award-winning SIX: The Musical is now on stage in Calgary, running May 20–25 at the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium, presented by Broadway Across Canada.
Some call it a crossover between pop concert and musical theatre—with a heavy lean toward pop concert.
In SIX, the six wives of Henry VIII step into the spotlight for a fierce, glitter-soaked singing competition. One by one, they reclaim their stories and individuality —beyond just their shared history with the king. This isn’t your average history lesson.
Written by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss while they were students at Cambridge, SIX has become a global sensation. The Broadway cast album—SIX: LIVE ON OPENING NIGHT — debuted at number one on the Billboard cast album charts and has surpassed 100 million streams.
The show picked up 23 awards during the 2021–2022 Broadway season, including the Tony for Best Original Score and the Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Musical.
With Tony-winning costume design by Gabriella Slade, every moment on stage is packed with bold movement and even bolder style.
Performances run for one week only, with eight shows from May 20–25 at the Jubilee.
