Airdrie RCMP seek suspects in brazen theft from vehicles caught on video

Police in Airdrie are investigating multiple cases of theft from vehicles and hoping the public can help in identifying the suspects.

Police in Airdrie are investigating multiple cases of theft from vehicles and hoping the public can help in identifying the suspects.

Investigators say there were three incidents on May 20, one in Reunion Court, Woodside Drive, and Bayside 711.

Surveillance footage provided by RCMP shows one of those incidents, where thieves are seen pulling up to parked vehicles in a white Hyundai Accent. Two people get out and break into the parked vehicles before stealing multiple items.

A few hours later, around 4:15 a.m., officers tried to stop the suspect vehicle on 800 Yankee Boulevard, but it fled from police.

Checks by police on the Ontario license plate showed that the vehicle is stolen.

Anyone with information about these crimes is asked to contact Airdrie RCMP at 403-945-7267 or tip anonymously through CrimeStoppers.
