Man arrested after bringing gun-shaped lighter into downtown Calgary bank
A lighter shaped like a gun prompted calls that led to a massive police response at a downtown Calgary bank on Wednesday afternoon.

A lighter shaped like a gun prompted calls that led to a massive police response at a downtown Calgary bank on Wednesday afternoon.
Calgary police were called to a bank at 8 Avenue SW and 5 Street SW around 3:15 p.m. for reports that someone with a weapon was inside.
Dozens of police vehicles converged on the bank and officers with guns drawn took a man into custody after he got into a vehicle outside.
Police later determined the weapon in question was actually a lighter shaped like a gun.
Charges are pending, according to police.
