Stretch of Deerfoot in SE Calgary reopens following police matter

A section of Deerfoot Trail that was closed for more than an hour on Wednesday afternoon for a police incident has reopened.

Calgary police say all northbound lanes of the highway were closed between Stoney Trail SE and McKenzie Towne Boulevard SE around 12:30 p.m..

Officials said the closure was due to a police matter.

The northbound lanes reopened around 2 p.m.
