Motorcyclist in hospital following crash in NW Calgary

A motorcyclist is recovering in hospital after crashing early Wednesday morning in Calgary’s northwest.

Police say it happened just before 12:30 a.m. at Crowchild Trail NW and Stoney Trail.

The motorcycle was the only vehicle involved in the incident.

The driver was taken to hospital in stable condition, police say.

Speed is being investigated as a factor.

Area roads were closed for a few hours to allow for a police investigation but have since reopened.
