Calgary police are looking for information from the public about a suspicious interaction involving a group of kids in Auburn Bay earlier this month.
Around 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 8, three kids were playing in a greenspace behind a condo complex on Auburn Meadows Manor SE, when a man they didn’t know came up to them and asked if they had seen his dog.

The children told him they had see a black and white dog run by moments earlier and pointed in the direction it had gone.
Police say the man then walked away.
About 30 minutes later, the same man is believed to have returned in a vehicle and approached the children, who were by that time near a row of mailboxes on the east side of the comples.
The man stayed in his vehicle and asked the group for help finding his dog, offering candy in exchange for their assistance.
One of the kids apparently said they would help but declined the candy offer.
The man is alleged to have replied that they “deserve a reward” and then promptly drove away.
Police say the children left the area and went to the home of a trusted adults where they told their family members about the encounter.
Investigators haven’t had any luck identifying the man or the vehicle and are now turning to the public for help.
He is described as in his 30s, around 5’5″ tall, with a light complexion, short brown hair, and a heavy build.
He was wearing a blue shirt and brown cargo shorts.
Police add he was driving a blue-grey-coloured car.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to speak with their children about personal safety and the importance of staying alert around strangers.
