Multiple people fall into Calgary’s Bow River by 85 Street NW Bridge

The Calgary Fire Department (CFD) and EMS are responding to a water rescue involving multiple people in northwest Bowness along the Bow River on Tuesday.

Firefighters say calls started coming in around 5 p.m. from different areas, saying multiple people were floating down the river who had gone into the water.

The area crews are responding to is in the Bowness area near the 85 Street NW Bridge.

Multiple firetrucks are on the north and south sides of the river, and the CFD rescue boat has been deployed from West Baker Park Boat Ramp and is being used to save those people.

It’s unknown how many people fell into the water or if there are any injuries, but CFD says there may be children and adults involved.

EMS says there are no reported injuries.
