A Calgary man has been charged after allegedly sexually assaulting a woman he met on a dating app late last year.
Calgary police began investigating in early 2025 after a woman reported she was sexually assaulted by a man at his home in November 2024.
It is alleged the woman met the man on a dating app and agreed to meet him in-person at a downtown restaurant. The pair later returned to the man’s home.
Once inside his home, police allege the man started sexually assaulting the woman. She eventually reported it to police.
Following an investigating, Calgary police have charged 30-year-old Nathaniel Mark Thomson with one count of sexual assault. He is expected to appear in a Calgary courtroom in September.
