Man in 50s charged after road rage attack with screwdriver: CPS

A Calgary man is facing charges after a road rage incident escalated into violence in the city’s northeast Monday.

A Calgary man is facing charges after allegedly attacking someone with a screwdriver in a road rage incident in the city’s northeast on Monday.

Emergency crews were called to Martinvalley Way NE in the community of Martindale around 9 a.m. for reports of an assault.

Police say a victim was attacked by a screwdriver after a road rage interaction between two people in traffic.

The victim was assessed by paramedics at the scene and is in stable condition.

A suspect was arrested at the scene.

Calgary police say 52-year-old Muse Werseme has been charged with one count of assault with a weapon. He will appear in a Calgary courtroom in September.
