Calgary police identify suspects in NE deli arson with help from public

Calgary police are looking for a man and a woman suspected in an arson in the city’s northeast.

Investigators say the blaze at Alberta Halal Meat & Iraqi Street Food on Memorial Drive NE started early in the morning on Tuesday, July 8.

The Calgary Fire Department attended the scene and put out the fire, which it deemed suspicious, and the Arson Unit began investigating.

After exhausting all leads, police are now asking for the public’s help.

The man is described as around 5’9″ tall, with a slim build, dark-coloured hair, and a small amount of dark facial hair.

The woman is described as about 5’4″ tall, with a slim build, and black hair.
