Hit-and-run crash in NE Calgary leaves pedestrian hurt

A man has serious injuries after he was hit by a vehicle in a hit-and-run crash in northeast Calgary on Friday afternoon.

Emergency crews were called to the intersection of 37 Avenue NE and 26 Street NE just after 1:30 p.m. for reports of a collision.

Calgary police say a male pedestrian was hit by a vehicle that did not remain at the scene.

The man was rushed to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, according to paramedics.

Eastbound 37 Avenue NE was closed in the area for the investigation, but the road has since reopened.
