Calgary police are asking for help from the public to identify two men they believe were involved in a double stabbing in the Beltline last month.

Around 2 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 23, two people were walking in front of a Circle K convenience store on 11 Avenue SW, when they were approached by two men.

Investigators believe the suspects and victims got in a briefly spoke to each other, and the suspects followed the victims to the side of the store, where they got into a physical fight. The two victims were stabbed in the altercation and taken to hospital in serious but stable condition.

According to police, the suspects left the scene separately, one on foot and the other on a bike.

Police say the attack was random and there is no indication the victims and suspects knew each other.

Officers conducted a thorough search of the downtown area and reviewed CCTV footage in an effort to identity the suspects.

The first suspect is described as around six feet tall with a medium build, a full bears, and a moustache. He was wearing a red hoodie with a large Puma logo, a black baseball cap, and black pants. He was also carrying a backpack.

The second suspect is described as around 5’6″ tall with a slim build and a moustache. He was wearing a grey jacket, a grey or beige baseball cap, and was also carrying a backpack.
