1 left with non-life threatening injuries in SW Calgary shooting

Around 5:45 p.m, police were called to the 300 block of Somerside Park SW, and CPS says the man suffered a non-life threatening, non- life altering gunshot wound, following a shooting.

A man is recovering in hospital after he was shot in Calgary’s southwest over the weekend.

The incident happened around 5:45 p.m. Saturday in the southwest community of Somerset.

When officers arrived on Somerside Park SW, they found a man who had been shot once in the lower body.

His injuries were described as non-life threatening and non-life altering.

Police say the man is co-operating with the investigation.

They add officers aren’t searching for any suspects and there is no threat to the community.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
