Two people hospitalized following SW Calgary crash

Two people were taken to hospital with injuries following a crash in Southwest Calgary on Thursday afternoon.

Emergency crews responded to the scene at approximately 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of 17 Avenue and Sarcee Trail SW for reports of a two-vehicle collision.

Both drivers involved remained at the scene, according to Calgary police.

Paramedics transported two people to hospital with minor injuries.

The eastbound lanes of 17 Avenue are currently blocked at the intersection. Motorists are being asked to find an alternate route.
