‘Life-altering’ injuries for person who fell onto tracks at NW Calgary train station

A man has been left with life-altering injuries after being struck by a CTrain at Lions Park Station early Monday morning.

One person is recovering in hospital Monday morning after Calgary police say they fell onto the tracks at a northwest LRT station and were hit by a train.

It happened around 2:40 a.m. at Lions Park Station, according to investigators.

The individual was left with life-altering injuries and was taken to hospital in stable condition.

As a result, Lions Park Station was closed in both directions for a period of time. It has since reopened.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
