The same vehicle then hit a Subaru Outback in the area of Mayor Magrath Drive and Scenic Drive South but didn’t stop, according to investigators.

A short time later, the driver and the vehicle were reported at a convenience store along Bluefox Boulevard North.

The driver went into the the store and tried to buy several items, police explain, but when his card declined, he threatened a staff member and left with the merchandise.

Police eventually found the vehicle and arrested the driver without incident.

Further investigation by Lethbridge police found evidence the suspect intended to hit the victims with his vehicle.

He wasn’t impaired at the time and knew all of the victims, police add.
