Man hospitalized after stabbing in Fish Creek Park, police investigating

Calgary Police are investigating a stabbing at Fish Creek Provincial Park in the city’s south-end Thursday night which left a man injured.

Police are investigating a stabbing in Fish Creek Park that left one man hospitalized on Thursday evening.

According to Calgary police, a male victim arrived at the South Health Campus at around 6:45 p.m., reporting that he had been stabbed while walking in Fish Creek Park around 5:40 p.m.

The exact location within the park remains unknown.

Emergency personnel quickly assessed the man’s injuries and transferred him to another hospital for surgery.

No suspects have been identified at this time, and police have not released information regarding a possible motive.

Police are asking anyone who may have been in the area around the time of the incident, or who may have relevant information, to come forward.
