Pause for Pets: Take a moment to meet Star!

In this week’s Pause for Pets, we take a moment to introduce you to a cat that’s a real star. She’s among cats and dogs currently chilling at the city’s animal shelter hoping for a forever home.
This isn’t your ordinary black cat.
She’s a star.
And, that’s her name.
This short-haired domestic feline has been at the city’s shelter for a few weeks but more than ready to find a permanent home.
She’s about a year old and just wee but big on personality.
All she needs is a cat tree and a chill human to open their heart and home. She loves lounging, chin scratches on her terms and schooling humans on the finer aspects of feline etiquette.
Not sure she’s a star?
This black beauty was born with a white diamond-shaped star on her chest — clearly a badge of brilliance.
Star is in the hidden gem category which means rather than the $169 fee she can go home for $84.52. all animals leaving the shelter, are spayed or neutered, have their first set of vaccines, come with a microchip, a six month city of Calgary licence and a bag of kibbles.
