Calgary police are asking for help from the public to identify a man believed to be responsible for an armed robbery at a liquor store in the city’s southwest.

Shortly after 4:45 p.m. on Oct. 29, investigators say a man entered a liquor store on 26 Avenue, put several bottles of alcohol in a bag, and brought one to the till.

He then pulled out what looked like a gun and got into a fight with the store clerk, police say.

The man then left with the stolen alcohol and left the area.

The suspect is described as a man in his mid-30s, with a medium build and a goatee.

At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black jacket with a hood, dark sunglasses, blue jeans with white stitching and was carrying a grey-brown duffle bag.

Anyone with information about this incident, or who knows the identity of the suspect, is asked to contact police at 403-266-1234 or tip anonymously through CrimeStoppers.
