Mounties in Airdrie are searching for a suspect involved in a road rage incident that left one person injured north of the city near Crossfield on Tuesday.
It happened between 6:10 and 6:20 p.m. on Highway 2 between the intersections of Township Roads 290 and 292, about 30-45 minutes from Calgary. Police say both vehicles involved pulled over between the two roads.
An “altercation” happened between the two drivers, and when the first driver was walking back to their vehicle, the second one struck them with their vehicle while fleeing the scene.
The victim was knocked to the ground and suffered minor injuries.
Meanwhile, Mounties are looking for anyone who may have witnessed the incident, has dashcam footage, or has any information from the area at that time.
Anyone with information or footage is asked to contact the Airdrie RCMP at 403-945-7267 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), online at www.P3Tips.com or by using the “P3 Tips” app available through the Apple App or Google Play store.
