Pause for Pets: Take a moment to meet Noelle!

In this week’s Pause for Pets, we introduce you to Noelle, a Samoyed mix chilling out at the city’s animal services — hoping for a forever home.
At the shelter, Noelle is known as a loveable, fluffy and silly gal.
The one-eyed, affectionate and goofy, wonder dog also has a floppy tongue which amplifies that cuteness score.

As for the missing eye?
The eight-year-old showed up with a malformed skull and a badly diseased right eye. With a nasty ulcer and a very real risk it could rupture, it was removed. And for Noelle, that meant a better quality of life and being put on the adoption list.
A little about Noelle — this gal loves to be where the action is, weaves when she walks, tends to be a bit chatty and brings the energy to everything she does.
She’s an adorable senior who delivers snuggles on demand and is chill in pretty much any situation.

For more information or to meet Noelle, call 311 and given them her file number A0931803
And some news on the dog name front; the American Kennel Club is out with its most popular dog names of 2025 – gleaned from monikers given to dogs registered with the organization.
Max is the top male dog name, making a comeback after being unseated by Milo last year. Other top dog names include Hank, Teddy, Cooper, Bear, Maverick and Charlie.
