A pregnant Calgarian was taken to hospital by paramedics following a three-vehicle crash in the city’s northeast Wednesday morning.
Alex Kwan with the Calgary Fire Department says crews responded to the intersection of Barlow Trail and 37 Avenue NE around 7:50 a.m.
When they arrived, firefighters found two vehicles and one City of Calgary transit bus involved.
Thirty people were on the bus and no injuries were reported.
The driver of one of the vehicles involved was pregnant and complaining of abdominal pains, Kwan explains, and was assessed by crews before being transported.
Two vehicles required tow trucks and fire crews cleaned up debris and fluids.
A second transit bus attended the scene and the passengers were transferred.
Between midnight and 8 a.m. Wednesday, Calgary police say officers responded to 19 collisions, seven of which involved injuries.
